New Year, New You

I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! My delivery is with delay, however my sincerity is not lacking. I am starting to become adapted to writing 2015 whenever dating something, it only took me a week which in reality is probably not bad timing. With a new year, we tend to look at it as a new beginning, a fresh start and an opportunity to evoke some sort of change in our lives. Often times, I look at the new year this way, but this year was different for me. I looked at 2015 as a continuation of progress from the previous year. Of course, I am not going to say that my new year did not begin with a few new years resolutions. If you are interested in hearing what they are then continue reading!

  • To participate in a triathlon. This is something I have been wanting to do for awhile and what better way to start a new year than to get in shape similar to the other millions of Americans in January.
  • To volunteer every holiday. I love to volunteer because it brings me satisfaction to know I am one person who is able to make a difference. I love to help others and volunteering is the best of both worlds; being able to gain pride for myself and give relief and joy to someone else. Therefore, I want to take time from celebrating the holidays and focusing on my own life, family, and friends, to focus on people I do not even know. A couple years ago, I volunteered along with my boyfriend on Thanksgiving Day with a homeless organization. It was the most rewarding experience! I want to continue this tradition for this new year!
  • Faith is very important and for the new year, I want to be more committed to my goal of reading the bible in a year. I managed to get halfway through the Bible last year, but I did not finish. This year I am determined and will be completing the entire Bible.

Thank you for reading through a few of my new year resolutions! I enjoy being able to connect on a more personal level with all of you.
