Makeup is major part of my morning routine and probably my favorite part of it as well. With the constant questions about what I use and how I keep my skin glowing, I thought today's post would be dedicated to talking about some of my favorite cosmetics. Now, I realize that everyone has different budgets, therefore my list of favorites includes drugstore brands as well as the more expensive name brands. In my daily makeup routine, I am more likely to use the drugstore products and use the more expensive ones for special occasions. At this point in my life, I cannot justify spending $40 on a daily foundation.

1 & 2) When applying foundation, I dampen a beauty sponge and blend the foundation into my skin. This is the KEY to an airbrush finish! L'Oreal True Match is my favorite drugstore foundation and I use this daily. It gives my face full coverage and the illusion that I was blessed with amazing skin. When taking pictures or for any special occasion, my to-go foundation is Make up For ever HD

3 & 4) When applying bronzer, I use this flat powder brush and sometimes this other brush . I apply my favorite and inexpensive NYC bronzer (It is $2.79 at CVS, yet it is amazing!) before my highlight and concealer because if any excess powder stays on my face, I am able to cover those spots with concealer. I also really like the NARS bronzer  in Casino. I use the darker bronzer, but there are other shades that may work better for your skin tone. These two products are used to contour my cheekbones, forehead and jawline.

5 & 6) The Maybelline concealer shown here provides full coverage and for a drugstore brand, what can I say, I am in love! My shade is light, which I use to not only conceal, but to highlight as well. MAC concealer is A-mazing! This is my favorite concealer at the moment. My shade is NW15 and important note about this product is that I rarely have any creasing under eyes.

7 & 8) Okay, this step is really important that I think is easy to forget. Setting the foundation and concealer with powder! It is important to use a different powder for concealer than for foundation. Press powder and loose powder can cause crease under the eyes, instead use a more delicate powder, such as Ben Nye Bella banana powder. Press powder is great for touching up the skin during the day, but loose powder is the more essential product for instilling foundation is set in place.  I like Neutrogena Healthy Skin, because it does a great job of eliminating shine throughout the day.

9) The secret to glowing skin! Highlighting! Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector is my favorite highlight of all time. I use the shade Moonstone. This is used everyday in my make up routine and it has lasted for months. The quality is the best I have found and gives that beautiful glow to any make up look. Physicians Formula is a drugstore highlighter that I used regularly until I discovered Becca highlighter. But if you are looking for a less expensive highlighter than I would recommend this product as well. The appealing aspect of this product is that it has no parabens and is non-comedogenic. This is really important if you have acne prone skin to avoid skin irritation.

10) Finally, Blush! These two colors are nearly identical on the skin. Which is an example of how you do not always have to spend a lot of money to see professional-looking results. Although, I love MAC blushes, especially this one, such a beautiful pink shade! It is a limited edition, which means I need to stock up before they are all gone. I attached some other favorite MAC blushes below for y'all. If you want a cheaper alternative, try this one by Maybelline, this and  this by Milani. They are all pigmented and look great on any skin tone.
